The Colorado Avalanche have moved forward with a roster adjustment by placing winger Georgii Merkulov on waivers, a standard procedural step that allows the team to explore potential interest from other NHL organizations. The decision comes as the club evaluates its depth at forward and prepares for the upcoming season. Merkulov’s placement opens the door for him to either clear waivers and become a free agent or be claimed by another team if he passes through. Fans and analysts will be watching to see how this move impacts the Avalanche’s lineup and whether Merkulov finds a new home in the league.
