As the highly anticipated Stanley Cup Final heats up, the mayors of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Las Vegas, Nevada, have put their cities' reputations on the line in a friendly wager. In a lighthearted display of civic one-upmanship, Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin has challenged Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman to a bet that pits the city's love of sports against its passion for entertainment. If the Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup, Mayor Baldwin will treat Mayor Goodman to a Raleigh-style barbecue feast, complete with all the fixings. But if the Vegas Golden Knights emerge victorious, Mayor Goodman will take Mayor Baldwin on a tour of the city's famous Strip, complete with a high-roller dinner at a top-tier restaurant.
