Brent Burns, a former defenseman for the Aeros, has defied the odds and is now a key contributor to the Carolina Hurricanes' push for championship glory. Having been drafted by the Aeros in 2005, Burns spent four seasons in Houston before being traded to the Minnesota Wild.
