As the team's general manager from 1988 to 1997, Fletcher made several key trades and signings that helped the Maple Leafs win the 1993 Stanley Cup, ending a 26-year championship drought. His contributions to the world of hockey extend beyond his on-ice accomplishments, as he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017.
