A veteran defenseman has agreed to a professional tryout (PTO) with the American Hockey League’s Calgary team, offering a potential opportunity for experienced defensive play. The move comes as the player seeks to extend his career following years in professional hockey. PTO agreements allow athletes to train with a team while competing for a roster spot, often serving as a pathway for those looking to secure a full contract. Fans and analysts will watch closely to see if the defenseman can make an immediate impact in the lineup.

Veteran defenseman Derek Forbort recently signed a PTO agreement with AHL Calgary.
