The 21-year-old communications major has landed a role as a play-by-play announcer for the National Hockey League's (NHL) upcoming season. Doherty's big break comes after completing an internship with the NHL's Raleigh-based Carolina Hurricanes, where he honed his broadcasting skills and gained valuable experience in the fast-paced world of sports media.
