The Calgary Flames have returned to the ice for a series of informal “captain’s skates,” giving fans a first glimpse of the roster ahead of the upcoming training camp at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The low‑key sessions, designed to let the team shake off the off‑season rust and build chemistry, featured a mix of veteran leaders and promising prospects slipping into their roles under the watchful eye of the coaching staff. Photographs captured by Chris Wahl showcase the players’ focus and energy as they glide through drills, engage in light scrimmages, and rehearse set plays in a relaxed environment. The event offers a promising preview of the Flames’ preparations for the new season and hints at the dynamics that could shape their campaign.
