A highly touted prospect acquired by the Sabres in last year’s draft has already been sent down to the team’s minor-league affiliate following a trade that brought him to a new organization. The move comes as part of a roster shakeup, with the player’s immediate demotion signaling a shift in the team’s plans for his development.
