Edmonton without McDavid? They're okay. Draisatl, Bouchard, Nuge, Hyman doing okay. Tampa without Kucherov? Not bad. Top Tier players, plenty of 30-40g scorers. Colorado without Mackinnon? Still really good. Makar is an MVP D. Sharks without Celebrini? Absolute trash. Last place in the league for sure. Yet somehow he's not the most valuable to his team because Edmonton & Tampa played an extra series and Colorado dominates everyone? Convince me this award isn't just a "who got close to the Art Ross" trophy, because it seems like a dumb award at this point. If Sharks get 6 more points and make the playoffs suddenly he's that much more valuable to his team? Come on PWHA, be better. Hart Trophy is *specifically defined* as "most valuable to his team". Not in the league, or guy you would most like on your team, but the most valuable *to* his team. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hart_Memorial_Trophy submitted by /u/HostSea4267 [link] [comments]
