As the Montreal Canadiens gear up for another intense Stanley Cup playoff run, the city's emergency rooms are poised to receive a welcome respite during home games. In a bid to alleviate congestion and free up medical staff, the McGill University Health Centre has partnered with the National Hockey League to offer patients a special "Habs Game Day" program. Under this initiative, patients who are scheduled for non-urgent procedures will be rescheduled for the next day, ensuring that hospital staff can focus on critical care during high-stakes games. With the Canadiens' passionate fan base and the city's reputation for hockey fever, this program is expected to bring much-needed relief to Montreal's ERs during the playoffs.
