A late-game power-play goal by a visiting forward has given their team a crucial one-point lead in the first period against a well-defended opponent. The goalie, making his NHL debut, was tested by a sharp shot from the point, but the puck found its way past him for a rare give-up on a power play. With the game still wide open, the momentum now shifts to the road team as they look to extend their advantage in the remaining periods. The scoring play highlights the offensive firepower that has been a key factor in their recent success.
